I studied painting at San Diego State University with Richard Baker, earning my BFA in 1995. From 1995 to 1997, I studied painting at the New York School of Visual Arts with Jake Berthot, earning my MFA in 1997. Currently my preferred mediums are pen and ink, graphite and chalk.

As a woodworker, I have experience as a carpenter, furniture maker, carver, and instrument maker. I studied fine woodworking and carving at Santa Fe Community College with Christoph Neander and Ivan Dmitrov, earning my certificate in 2008. Currently I am building a career as a violin maker and carver.

I have exhibited my furniture and drawings all over the U.S. and have been featured in magazines such as Space and Time, Stillpoint, and Fine Woodworking.
